Beja Air Base, Portugal — October 2025.

For two intense weeks, from October 19 to 30, the Beja Air Base in Portugal hosted ETAP-C 25.4, the last advanced tactical course of the year for the European Tactical Airlift Program (ETAP), organized by the European Tactical Airlift Center (ETAC). On this occasion, seven aircraft from six European nations performed in a demanding joint training scenarios, consolidating the interoperability and tactical capabilities of European air forces in advanced tactical airlift missions.

More than 140 flight hours were flown, distributed over 62 missions, all of which were planned and executed entirely in Portuguese airspace, providing a varied and realistic operational environment.

One of the highlights of this edition was the first-time partici

pation of the Portuguese Air Force’s new acquisition, the KC-390 aircraft, which demonstrated its tactical capabilities within the multinational ETAP framework, contributing significantly to operational integration and the exchange of experiences between crews.

The course culminated with the graduation of all participants, who successfully completed the planned mission program. This achievement reflects the high level of readiness and cooperation achieved among the participating units, as well as the effectiveness of ETAP as a pillar of European tactical air transport training.

With the conclusion of ETAP-C 25.4, the European Tactical Airlift Centre, based in Zaragoza, Spain, reaffirms its commitment to joint capability development, excellence in tactical training, and the strengthening of European cooperation in the field of military air transport.
