The inauguration of the ETAC marks a significant milestone in Europe, as well as for the European Defence Agency (EDA), rewards it their initiation of a time-running European Air Transport Fleet (EATF) programme.  The EATF is a 20-nation collaboration, which includes ongoing exercises and training events spread across all Europe that focusses on building capacity and expertise in military fixed-wing airlift activities. The ETAP became an important achievement as part of an improved European defence collaboration. With the opening of the European Tactical Airlift Centre (ETAC), running the European Tactical Airlift Programme (ETAP), the ambition of establishing European advanced airlift tactical training capability to organise common training events and harmonized courses became reality.

The success of the ‘Centre’ is obvious: Since founded in Jun 2017, the many projects we managed are being assessed by the participants as being excellent.

The initial community of 11 Nations (BEL, BGR, CZE, DEU, ESP, FRA, ITA, LUX, NLD, NOR, and PRT) got growth by two (2) new: Romania (ROU, Dec 2018) and Austria (AUT, Feb 2019).
