ETAP-I 25-1 Course Concludes Successfully in Orléans, France

Pilots from France, Germany and Spain have successfully completed the Tactical Instructor Course (ETAP-I 25-1) held in Orléans, France, from January 21 to 24, 2025. This intensive four-day course brought together selected pilots from various European nations for advanced tactical training in the operation of transport aircraft and their capabilities, in accordance with the European Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (ETTP).

Enhancing International Collaboration

This course marks another key step forward in the European Tactical Airlift Programme, supported by France as the host nation. Throughout the four days, participants underwent rigorous training, preparing them to act as tactical instructors during flight operations. At the conclusion of each flight, TacIPs (Tactical Instructor Pilots) evaluated the crew’s performance based on the program’s standards. These instructors also play a crucial role in enhancing the harmonization and standardization of operating procedures across multinational crews, ensuring seamless cooperation in combined and joint operations.

As the programme continues to grow, this course exemplifies the ongoing commitment to strengthening international defense cooperation and improving the tactical capabilities of European Airlift Forces.
