ETAP-I 25-2 Course Successfully Concludes in Pisa, Italy

From February 11th to 14th, 2025, the Tactical Instructor Course (ETAP-I 25-2) was successfully held in Pisa, Italy. Originally, the course was set to include pilots from Germany, Norway, Poland, and Spain. However, due to unexpected circumstances and illness, Germany and Spain were unable to participate. As a result, pilots from Poland and Norway successfully completed the three-day intensive training, which focused on the tactical operation of transport aircraft, in line with the European Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (ETTP).

Advancing Multinational Defense Cooperation

Hosted by Italy, this course continues to play a key role in the European Tactical Airlift Programme. Despite the reduced number of participants, the training was rigorous and comprehensive, preparing the pilots to serve as tactical instructors during future flight missions. After each flight, Tactical Instructor Pilots (TacIPs) conducted detailed evaluations based on the program’s established standards, ensuring the highest level of operational readiness. These instructors are crucial in promoting a unified approach to procedures across multinational crews, ensuring smooth collaboration in joint and combined operations.
